Raise Your Hands, Allah's Reply is Guaranteed, Laylatul Qadr, Last 10 days

thefinalmessage|THE FRIDAY NOTE

Weekly Hadith – Raise Your Hands;
Salman al-Farsi (RA) narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "Your Lord is Ever-Living and Generous, and is ashamed to turn away empty handed His servant when he raises his hands to Him."
[Sunan Abu Dawood: Book 8, Number 1483]

As we are in the last 10 days of Ramadan, we should try to take advantage of what remains of the month in which prayers are most accepted and deeds are most highly rewarded. May this blessed month insha'Allah, enable us to make a lasting difference to our lives, in this world and in the Hereafter.

Pearls of Wisdom – Allah’s Reply is Guaranteed;
“ If you make intense supplication and the timing of the answer is delayed, do not despair of it. His reply to you is guaranteed; But in the way He chooses, not the way you choose, and at the moment He desires, not the moment you desire"
[ Ibn Ata'Illah Iskandari]

Weekly Q&A;
Q. What is the best form of worship on Laylatul Qadr?

 Praise be to Allaah.
In the Name of Allah, the most Merciful and Compassionate,

One attains unto the reward of worshipping on Laylatul Qadr through any worship one does on that night. The most important thing is to strive ones utmost to perform Isha and Fajr in congregation. After that, the most important of spiritual actions on the night is sincere repentance: one should seek to return to one's Lord through making a firm commitment to leaving ones state of heedlessness and disobedience, and make the commitment to turn ones heart in the direction of Divine Pleasure.

And Allaah (SWT) knows best.

Weekly Suggested Good Deed – Make Most of Last Ten Days;
Observe Qiyam-al-Layl, and extract as much ajr as is possible from the remaining blessed days.

Dua of the Week;
Duah for Ramadan:

Transliteration:
“Allahumma innee as-alukal-jannata wa na’eemahaa wa bahjatahaa wa a’oodhu bika minan-naari wa salaasilihaa wa aghlaalihaa."...

Translation:
“O Allah! I ask for heaven and its bounties and its joy and I seek Your protection from the Fire, its chains and its shackles."
[Abu Dawud, Ahmad]

This is a supplication that the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) recited in the first 10 days of Ramadan, as these are the days of Mercy. The second 10 days are the days of Forgiveness and the third 10 days are the days of Salvation from the Hellfire.
