In an era of hyper-connectivity, distance has virtually disappeared while genuine presence remains rare. Islam calls us to look beyond superficial contact and truly know, care for, and support one another.
Ikhlas (sincerity) is about ensuring our actions are performed truly for the sake of Allah without any ulterior motive such as seeking worldly pleasures or recognition from others. Allah reminds us: “Indeed, We have sent down the Book to you O Prophet in truth, so worship Allah alone, being sincerely devoted to Him.”…
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ; peace be upon him) said, “Cleanliness is half of faith”. [Sahih Muslim]
We must always be aware of our speech, whether at home, outside, or at work. What we say and how we say it has consequences for us as believers, both in this world and in the next.
When referring to disobeying His commandments, Allah (ﷻ, the Mighty and Sublime) says in the Glorious Quran: “You counted it a little thing, while with Allah it was very great.” [Surah Nur:15]
Shukr means showing gratitude or thankfulness for blessings bestowed upon us by our Bestower, Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala; May He be glorified and exalted). Allah (ﷻ; The Possessor of Complete Glory and Majesty) reminds us: “If you are grateful, I will give you more.” [Surah Ibrahim 14:7].
Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala; May He be glorified and exalted) has provided His servants with food and water as sustenance. As servants, we are obliged to be grateful for the favours bestowed.
